It is said that the future of mankind will be highly dependent on technology and that is completely true.  We has humans have always perceived that our future will consist of flying cars, space travel, teleportation, and so on. I feel that the beginning of this type of future starts with one thing, and that is artificial intelligence.  Webopedia states that artificial intelligence is a branch of computer science with the ideology of making computers behave like humans. John McCarthy who was a professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology first brought the term “artificial intelligence” to light in 1956. The biggest misconception with artificial intelligence is that many people think that is something that has to do with robots, however artificial intelligence have a wide range of functions such as, programming them to play games against human, programming them to make decisions in real-life situation, programming them to understand human speech and so on. The main reason behind artificial intelligence is that they are to help to make our lives easier. For my research, I will be exploring deeper into the field of artificial intelligence and how they will influence mankind in the future and how they influence us now in the present day. My research question is; How will artificial intelligence help the future and in what aspect? And is there a potential downside to the evolution of artificial intelligence? I feel that that artificial intelligence will change how mankind will live in the future because of three main reasons; first, artificial intelligence can help out humans carry out day to day activities with ease. Second, artificial intelligence can be the stepping-stone for the creation of other inventions that will help shape the future. Third, with the creation of artificial intelligence, it can either have a positive or a negative effect on humans, when focusing on human health and their progression in evolution.
